Being
stylish and fashionable should not be periodic or have any exceptions like
being pregnant. I hate when I
see women look shabby and unkempt because they are pregnant. Many mothers-to-be
have a hard time finding stylish clothes that compliment their growing baby
bump but clothing for pregnant women has evolved over the last few years with
shapeless clothes out and fashionable flattery clothes in.
As we know, Pregnancy is a thing of joy and brings about various
physical changes to the body. As these changes occur, so should we alter our
wardrobes to fit our new bodies.
Here are some helpful tips to stay comfortable,
stylish and fashionable on the inside as well as on the outside during
pregnancy.
- Change your undergarments
- Change your clothes; Drop the baggy clothes
- Treat yourself; do your hair, manis and pedis
Ladies
who are fashion-savvy are aware that wearing bras that fit can make you look
sexier and slimmer. During pregnancy, your boobs grow bigger as the pregnancy
develops and would definitely not fit into your old bras. so, it is advisable
to get a bra fitting at the time so you could buy new fitting bras.
According
to the American Pregnancy Association, pregnant women are more prone to urinary
tract infections so it is advisable to change all your undergarments to cotton
because it is more breathable than other fabrics like silk, polyester and nylon
that are used in making underwear.
Warning!
Please do not manage to wear your clothes from when you weren’t pregnant
because they just would not fit and a change of clothes/wardrobe is necessary.
In order to not feel the pinch of doing a big shop for maternity wear, you
could begin shopping months before pregnancy to build on your maternity
wardrobe.
A
lot of women during pregnancy invade their husband’s closet and wear their
clothes because they believe they would feel more comfortable. But wearing such
unflattering clothes only make you look unsexy, bigger than you actually are
and reduce your much-needed confidence. Instead, wear form-fitting clothes like
hugging blouses and fitted T-shirts (should not be too tight because they would
make you feel uncomfortable) as they make you look slimmer. For maximum
comfort, wear dresses that would flatter your figure like empire waist tops or
dresses; they fall free from the waist downwards and you could wear them
throughout your pregnancy stages.
Also,
wear flattering jeans that would make you look slim and fashionable. Instead of
maternity pants, opt for low-rise trousers because they are more fashionable.
Also try stretch bootleg/flare cut jeans with a cloth or adjustable waistband.

During
pregnancy, many women do not look after themselves. Please treat yourself to
manicures and pedicures and change your hair too to make you feel better.
